We are proud to renew our partnership with charity: water to enable rural communities in Ganjam and Gajapati districts access piped, safe drinking water in their homes. About 1000 households in 18 villages will benefit from this partnership in 2019.
In the past, this partnership led to community-owned and managed piped water supply systems in more than 100 villages and 12 schools; and individual household toilets and bathrooms in 22 villages in Odisha.
Gram Vikas’ efforts in providing piped water supply to toilets, bathrooms and for other domestic uses to every household in a village has resulted in 85% reduction in water-borne diseases in the villages, where we work. Learn more about work in water, here.
Thank you note from our partner charity: water.
