Migration changes Purna Majhi’s life
MULTIMEDIA
Until two years back, Purna Majhi worked as a cook in a hotel in Kerala. His earnings helped sustain his family back home in Tentulipada village, in Kalahandi district of Odisha. Today, he drives an auto-rickshaw that he owns. He recently bought a shop that his father looks after while his siblings study at schools in Bhubaneshwar and Konkia. Migrating to Kerala for work significantly improved life for him and his family.
