Overcoming complex, interconnected challenges is critical to community development. Singular channels of intervention often solve only a part of the problem. Simultaneous enablers across diverse areas have the potential to lift the whole community up rather than pecking at bits and pieces of what can be solved by building just one toilet or a school room or giving seeds to farmers. The Holistic Rural Development Programme is making one such attempt in Tulasipur village, Nayagarh district of Odisha.
